SEC officials announced on Monday that the game scheduled for October 29th between the Tennessee Volunteers and South Carolina Gamecocks will kick off at 7:15 P.M. EST. The game will also be televised on ESPN, ESPN2, or the SEC Network, depending upon the outcome of the games this Saturday, the 22nd. This SEC East matchup will take place at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina. Tennessee is off this week, and South Carolina will take on UMass at home this Saturday.
Tennessee leads the series against South Carolina 25-7-2 and the Vols have won the last 3 matchups against the Gamecocks. Vols head coach Butch Jones is 3-0 against South Carolina in his career at Tennessee and will look to add a 4th straight win this year. Tennessee enters the game on a 5-2 record in the 2016 season and South Carolina enters the matchup at 2-4 on the season, they will have another game this Saturday to change that record though. This will be the Vols and Gamecocks 35th meeting all-time in a series that dates back to 1903. Although, the teams didn’t start playing each other yearly until 1993 when South Carolina joined the SEC.
